DAY 2 : JOGJAKARTA SIGHT SEEING TOUR, BOROBUDUR TEMPLE AND SHOPPING (B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel, we will visit Sultan palacae (Keraton) where court retainers still wear traditional dress of dark Batik Sarongs, Batik head wears, tight jacket & kris, water castle, a maze of underground passages and pools as a pleasure garden by the first sultan. Afterward drive to Borobudur temple archeological remains of buddhist monument, it’s located 42 kms from northwest Jogjakarta, a 40 meters architectural grandeur of andesite stones carved by superb artistry of 1100 years ago. The two smallers buddhist monumen of Mendut and Pawon are also visited on the way. Next is visit Turi village for Salak fruits (Snake fruits) after that shopping at Malioboro Street. Evening transferred to local resturant for having dinner. Free at own leisure.

DAY 3 : SHOPPING – DEPARTURE (B,L)

Bank and Main Post Office Edifices These beautiful colonial buildings are located north of Karaton's North Square. Several hundred yards eastwards are an old Catholic Church at Jl. Secodiningratan.
Baron Beach Unlike Parangtritis, Baron Beach is still a beautiful and (except on Sundays) a quiet place. Located about 60 kms to the southeast of Yogyakarta, Baron bay offers a great panorama view over the steep coast to the east. You can take a walk to the nearby Krakal Beach (2 km) or drive to Kukup Beach (9 km) to the east. The beach forms a bay which protrudes between two green coral ridges. To reach it, you travel down a winding road through the mountain with lovely views over the green valleys and terraced limestone hills. It features the mouth of an underground river.
Banyu Nibo Temple can be visited easily after visiting Ratu Boko Temple. Fairly small, it is located in the middle of farmland about 2km south-east of Ratu Boko's Palace, flanked by Gunung Kidul hills to the south. The view of its exotic scenery makes this temple most enjoyable. Its slightly curved roof functions as the top of the stupa and gives the temple a certain allure. This Buddhist temple dates from the 9th century and has recently been restored.
Batik Research Centre Situated on the eastern outskirts of the city, it has an interesting permanent exhibition of batiks in classic and modern designs The process of batik can also be seen here, both the hand drawn and hand stamped.
Biological Museum is located on Jl. Sultan Agung 22, 1 km east of Post Office has a collection of Indonesian flora and fauna specimens.
Bird Market (Pasar Burung Ngasem) Ornithologists may find a variety of tropical birds available for sale and the interesting bird cages displayed on the wayside near the market is a fascinating sight. Business is from 9am to 4pm.
Borobudur Temple 42 km from Yogyakarta, this 1,200 year old Buddist temple, is a place of art and architecture and is one of the most famous temples in the world. The Waicak ceremony is held at both the Borobudur temple and Mendut temple in Magelang regency Buddhist followers from around the globe take a part in this religious ceremony that usually takes place in May.
Cerme Cave Walisongo people used the 1200 m long cave as a meeting place for teaching Islam in Java. Beside the main cave with a beautiful collection of stalactites and stalagmites you will find some smaller caves. The complex is located in Srunggo, Selopamioro, 22 km from Yogyakarta in the Bantul Regency.
Church (Gereja) Kotabaru A pleasant Catholic Church at Kotabaru, located 1 km east of Tugu Railway Station.
Dewantara Kirti Griya was the former home of Ki Hajar Dewantoro, the founder of the Taman Siswa Institute, the oldest national education institute established in 1932. He was both an educator and a fervent patriot fighting for independence. He was a close friend of Rabindranath Tagore (an educational figure from India). The building style, carving, reliefs and the very attractive statues bring the image of harmony and dynamism of Indonesian cultural artwork.

Dieng Plateau The oldest Hindu temple Pendawa Temple, Colour Lake and Mirror lake can be found here and there are numerous other places of interest in the area.

Dirgantara Mandala Museum is located in the Lanuma Adisucipto complex and keeps pictures and models of aeroplanes. Some are models of aeroplanes left by Japanese army which then were used by the Indonesian air-force, the other models are fighting, transportation, and exercise aeroplanes. NOTE: Visitors have to inform the officer in charge at least one day in advance to visit the museum.

Fort of Vredeburg In front of Gedung Agung is Benteng Vredeburg, an Old Dutch Fort. The restored fort now is a museum showing the history of independent movement.

Glagah Beach is located some 40 km south-west of Yogyakarta, in Kulon Progo Regency. The Serang river, which runs to the South sea, empties at this beach. Running alongside the river, is a green field with shady coconut trees which is a convenient place to camp or just to relax.

Gajah Mada University is located in the north part of the town, 3 km from Tugu railway station. It is one of the state's premier universities. The campus is very large, consisting of many buildings with different faculties. There is a special department for foreign post-graduate students. (Yogya is referred as the City of Students, many students come from 27 provinces in Indonesia for studying here. Yogya has many higher institutions and vocational training schools (one of the oldest in the country is Academy of Leather Processing)

Gedung Agung is a magnificent mansion formerly the residence of the Dutch Governor, when Yogyakarta was temporary capital of the Republic of Indonesia in 1946 - 1949, this building was the domicile of the President.

Gembira Loka Zoo is relatively a small zoo located on the bank of river Gajah Wong, 3 km east of main Post Office. It has interesting collection of animals, local and foreign. In the compound, there are recreational facilities such as a pond for boating and a children's playground. During school holidays, gamelan and musical entertainment are performed in the grounds.

Imogiri Royal Cemetery was built in 1645, and perches on a beautiful hill about 12 kms from Yogyakarta. The tomb of Sultan Agung Hanyokrokusumo, the third king of the Mataram Kingdom, is on the peak. Sultan Agung became famous for his courage in fighting against the Dutch colonialists in 1628. All the kings of the Mataram Kingdom and their families are buried in Imogiri. You have to climb 345 stairs to reach the top of the hill where the tombs are located.
NOTE: Visitors are obligated to wear traditional Javanese clothes.

Jagadnata Pura Hindu (pura), located on Jl. Sorowajan, northeast Yogya, about 4 km from Malioboro.

Jalan Malioboro Despite the growing appeal of the new shopping street Jalan Urip Sumoharjo, with its up dated commercial trapping, the vibrant life of the city is still centered along Malioboro and Ahmad Yani street, extending from the railway to the public square facing the Sultan's Palace. The shops open from 9am to 2pm and 6pm to 9pm including Sundays. There are dozens of cosy restaurants with reasonable prices and serving wide selections of dishes.

Jendral Sudirman Museum was a residence of Panglima Besar Jendral Sudirman, the first general of Indonesia Army Service. It is located on Jalan Bintaran. On display are many guns and other weaponry used in the revolution.

Kalasan Temple This unique Buddhist temple is located on the south side of the main road between Yogyakarta and Prambanan. The temple was built in honor of the marriage between King Pancapana of the Sanjaya Dynasty and a princess of the Cailendra Dynasty, Dyah Pramudya Wardhani. It is beautifully ornamented with finely carved relief and coated with "Vajralepa", a yellowish material made of the sap of certain tree. The Vajralepa functions as an adhesive and as protection against moss and mildew.

Karaton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat This Karaton (palace) was built in 1756, the architect was Sultan Hamengkubuwono I, the first king of Yogyakarta. The present Sultan Hamengkubuwono X now uses this buiding. The palace building founded by Sultan Hamengku Buwono I in 1775 is an impressive sight. The front yard is called Alun-alun Lor (North Square) and the back is called Alun-alun Kidul (South Square). The palace building and the Tugu (obelisk) were drawn in a sacred axis heading to Merapi volcano. In ancient times, the Sultan used to meditate along this axis before making an important decision.

Kasongan Village lies southwest of Yogyakarta and is known throughout Indonesia for its artistic pottery and earthenware.

Kepatihan Danurejan was the Dalem (mansion) and office of the Patih (Sultan's Chief Minister) during feudal (colonial) times. The official name of every Patih of Karaton Yogyakarta was Danurejo, So the building is locally known as Kepatihan Danurejan, now it is the office of the Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region, located North of Beringharjo Market.

Kota Gede is the First Capital of Mataram Kingdom II and is located 5 km south east of the city's centre. Panembahan Senopati, the first king of Mataram, built this small town in 1582. His sacred grave is behind the old mosque. Nowadays Kota Gede is famous with its silver industry.

Kota Gede Royal Cemetery is located in the southeast of Yogyakarta. One can visit the cemetery of Panembahan Senopati, the founder of the Mataram Kingdom. There is also the unique tomb of Ki Ageng Mangir, Senopati's son in law and his enemy at the same time. 100 meters away you will find the stone Watu Gilang, where Senopati smashed the head of Ki Ageng Mangir to death.

Kiskendo Cave is located in the Menoreh mountain, Kulon Progo Regency. The area lies about 700m above sea level. To the east, vast lowlands extending around the Progo river can be admired and to the south, in the distance one can see the Indian Ocean. The cave can be reached by road but those using big vehicles (buses and the like) are advised to stop at the Kecamatan Girimulyo (district) and proceed by smaller vehicles because of the narrowness of the road. The views of the mountainous area and the terraced rice fields en-route are a beautiful sight.

Krakal Beach is about 38 km from Yogyakarta. Geologists say that a long time ago, this place was below sea level. In the remaining coral bed, many fossils can still be found. Among all the beaches that stretch along the coast of Java, Krakal with -its white sandy beach surrounded with mountainous rocky hills is considered the most beautiful.

Langse Cave Turning to the east from Parangtritis Beach you will find the Langsa cave. The entrance faces the open sea under a steep cliff, so one needs to climb some bamboo ladders to get there…not for those scared of heights, but well worth the effort if you do decide to go.

Masjid Agung (The Royal Mosque) is situated on the western side of the north square, near the Keraton or the palace. It is a place for praying and holding religious ceremonies for Moslems. Religious ceremonies like Sekaten and Gerebeg are held every year to celebrate the Islamic holidays. The mosque provides the Kraton room for religious activities. It's designed in Javanese traditional architecture with a special roof called "Tajug", whose shape is especially used for religious buildings. This traditional mosque is one of the most interesting because of its architecture.

Masjid Syuhada is a modern Mosque equipped with library, located at Kotabaru, 1-km eastward of Tugu Railway station.

Mendut Temple may be small and insignificant compared with its mighty neighbor, Borobudur, but this temple has the most outstanding statue of any temple in Java that can still be seen in its place of origin - a magnificent 3m high figure of Buddha, flanked by the Budhisattravas Lokesvara on the left and Vairapana on the right. The Buddha is also notable for his posture, for instead of the usual lotus position he sits Western style, with both feet on the ground. Discovered in 1836, attempts to restore it were made by the Dutch between 1897 and 1904. Although parts of the roof and entrance remain unfinished, it is nevertheless a fine temple and the gracefully carved relief panels on its outer walls are among the finest and largest examples of Hindu-Javanese art.

Monument 1 Maret is located on Jalan Panembahan Senopati, next to Fort Vredeburg and was erected in commemoration of the total offensive on March 1, 1949 when the Indonesian guerilla fighters succeeded (within 6 hours) to reoccupy Yogyakarta, against the Dutch colonials. This event, is known as " The Six Hours in Yogyakarta " (Enam Jam di Yogya ), was commanded by Kolonel Soeharto.

Museum Sasono Wiratama located in West Yogya, (also known as the Museum Diponegoro,) built at Prince Diponegoro’s former residence after he lead a bloody war against the Dutch colonialists (1825-1830).

Museum Perjuangan is located on Jl. Kolonel Sugiono. It is a cylindrical building, uniquely roofed in the shape of a crown with its outer walls depicting the history of the struggle for independence before and after the Declaration of Independence on August 17, 1945. The collection consists of historical articles during the time of the revolution for independence.

Museum (Gallery) Affandi located on Jl. Solo, 5 km from centre of the city on the West Bank of Gajah Wong River. Affandi, oner of the most well known internationally renowned painters lived here until his death in 1990. The museum exhibits some of his masterpieces and works from other painters. (His daughter, Kartika, is also a well-known painter.)

Mount Merapi 2.920 m above sea level, is one of the active volcanoes found in Indonesia. During its time of rest, when it’s not puffing out plumes of sulphur-laden smoke, mountaineering is a popular activity on its slopes. From the observation post located on Plawangan hill that can be reached through the forest resort of Kaliurang, you will see the incredible sights of molten rock oozing over the rim, sometimes accompanied with hot lava pouring out regularly and leaving a long trail of smoke.

Pasar Beringharjo The old traditional market lies in the very centre of the city in the famous main thoroughfare, Jl. Malioboro. All manner of produce are sold here.

Parangkusumo Beach, according to people's belief it used to be the meeting place between the kings who reigned the Mataram Kingdom and Kanjeng Ratu Kidul. Every year, on the 30th day of the Javanese month, " Rejeb ", offerings to the Queen of the south-sea are held on the shore of Parangkusumo, coinciding with the commemoration of the inauguration of Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X.

Parangtritis Beach has long been famous, not only as a beach resort but also a historical place which is closely related to the mysterious legend of the Queen of the south sea " Kanjeng Ratu Kidul ", who together with her confident, the feared Nyai Loro Kidul, reign over sea nymphs and spirits. The Legends say that Kanjeng Ratu Kidul was married to one of the Mataram Monarch, Panembahan Senopati whom she visited and communed with on certain occasions. From the wall of one of the hills, water containing calcium continuously dripped down and finally formed a pool with very clear water. Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono Vll found and took care of it. The pool is now used as the bathing pool. Those who are interested can travel by bus from the Umbulharjo bus station in Yogyakarta. Note: It is not recommended to swim on the southern coast of Java

Pawon Temple This tiny temple, about two km east of Borobudur, is similar in design and decoration to Mendut. It is not a stupa, but resembles most Central Javanese temples, with its broad base, central body and pyramidal roof. Pot-bellied dwarfs pouring riches over the entrance to this temple suggest that it was dedicated to Kuvera, the Buddist god of fortune.

Plaosan Temples (Buddhist Temples) is located one km to the east of the Sewu Temples. These temples are unique, combining Hindu and Buddhist symbols and carvings. Originally, there were three temples, of which the shrines and statues are very impressive. According to inscriptions on the stone of Plaosan, these temples were constructed jointly by the rulers of Sanjaya (Rakai Pikatan) and Cailendra (King Samaratungga) dynasties. The relief carved on the southern main temple depicts a man and the other temple, a woman. Another feature of this temple is Perwara temple, which has the shape of a slender stupa.

Prambanan temple is located some 17 km from Yogyakarta. This Hindu temple was built by Sanjaya Dynasty in the 9th century. It consists of three courtyards. The main temple is located in the inner courtyard and surrounded by several small temples called "Perwara" temples. Some of these were contributed by local chieftains as a token of their acquiescence to the king.

Puro Pakualaman (Palace) (built in 1813), located in Jl. Sultan Agung, 2 km east of the city's centre. The architect of this Puro was Sri Pakualaman I.

Ratu Boko Temple (Hindu Temple) High on a mountain side about 3 km to the South of Prambanan temple, Ratu Boko Temple, provides spectacular vistas of the Prambanan plain. To this day it is still unknown who discovered Ratu Boko or who named it. Inscriptions dating from the mid 700's say that it was a dormitory for monks. There are several ruins, including a well preserved arena which was used as a hall for royal audiences. Some legends say that it was also used as a venue for tests of mortal combat. A series of circular plunge pools carved into the limestone were used as royal baths. But most spectacular of all, is the entrance gate. With two separate gateways set on different levels, it contains very elaborate stone facings.

Samas Beach is located to the south-west of Yogyakarta, located in Bantul Regency. You can find a natural beach with its white sand. It is about 35 kilometers from the Yogya city.

Sari Temple 600m. northeast of the Kalasan temple sits the slender and beautiful Sari Temple, formerly a Buddhist sanctuary (Vihara) where Buddhist priests used to live, meditate and teach their followers.

Sambisari Temple is located some 12 km east of Yogyakarta, on the north of the main road between Yogyakarta and Solo. It was erected in the 10th century and was discovered in 1966. The temple is very unique. It was covered by volcanic ash and dust because of the eruption of mount Merapi in 1006 and became buried 6.5m below the surface of the surrounding land but remained in perfect condition, until discovery.

Selarong Cave is an historical site, which used to be the guerrilla headquarters of Prince Diponegoro in the struggle against the Dutch colonial between 1825 - 1830. He moved to Selarong after his home at Tegalrejo was attacked and burned down by the Dutch. This cave located some 14 kilometers south of Yogyakarta, on the top of a hill with many Guava trees.

Sewu Temple (Buddhist Temple) is located 2 km to the north-east of Prambanan Temple. "Sewu" is the Javanese word for thousand. This is the second largest Buddhist temple complex in Java, including several other small temples like Lumbung, Asu, Bubrah, and Lor Kulon temple. Restoration is professionally underway to reach its original form. It is a MANDALA, manifesting the universe in the center temple of Mahadeva, surrounded by four rings of 250 smaller temples of Gods

Sendangsono lies on the slope of the Menoreh mountain range, in the Kulon Progo Regency, some 40km north-west of Yogyakarta. The word " Sendang " means a spring whereas " Sono " is the name of giant tree. Thus, Sendangsono means a spring under a Sono tree. It is considered to be the holy place for the Catholics, and it can be regarded as the Lourdes of South-east Asia. (Pilgrimage to Sendangsono May and October are considered as holy months to honour Maria, Mother of Jesus Christ. Thousands of Roman Catholics from all over Indonesia and abroad, make their pilgrimage to Sendangsono in these months. Pilgrims walk as far as 3.5 km along the road starting from Banjaroya Kalurahan (village) office on the Sentolo-Muntilan road to reach the Promasan Church.)

Seni Sono Art Center Just next to Gedung Agung is the Seni Sono Art Center.

Sonobudoyo Museum is located on the north side of the North Square of the Sultan's Palace. It was built in 1935 according to Javanese architecture. The architecture of gateway resembles to the entrance of the mosque in Kudus. The museum has the second most complete collection of cultural artefacts after the Central Museum in Jakarta. Ceramics from the Neolithic Age, statues and bronze articles from the 8th, 9th and 10th century, various kinds of masks and wayang (puppet for shadow play), a gamelan or orchestra, an ancient weapon collection, heir looms and artefacts from Bali are displayed. This museum is also an interesting library that keeps various ancient books related to the Javanese culture. Wayang kulit or leather puppet shorted performances are held here from 08.00 - 10.00 pm.

Taman Sari are the ruins of a water castle, built in 1758, located west of Karaton. It was once a splendid pleasure park of the Sultans and Royal Families, and badly damaged due to an earthquake in 1865. The bathing pools have been restored and the rest is an interesting place of eerie ruins, underground passages and a large subterranean mosque. Nowadays, it has a kampung (village) where small houses and art galleries stand.

Telogo Muncar Waterfall found on the slopes Mt. Merapi of is a perfect place to get a way from it all while travelling.

Tugu Monument stands in the crossroad of Jl. Malioboro and Jl. Sudirman. It has a symbolic meaning for meditation and it is part of the magical line of Yogya (south to north); the South Sea, the Karaton Yogyakarta, Tugu and Mount Merapi.

Yogya Kembali Monument At Yogyakarta's northern ring road is the monument Yogya Kembali, established to commemorate Yogyakarta as the capital of the Republic of Indonesia of Indonesia in 1949. The monument has three floors. The first floor holds a museum, a library, an auditorium and cafeteria. On the second floor are 10 dioramas depicting the highlights of the struggle to recapture Yogyakarta from the occupation of the Dutch Armed Forces. On the balustrade are 40 reliefs depicting the history of the Indonesian people's struggle for independence

Gedung Bank Indonesia dan Kantor Pos Besar. Bangunan Kolonial yang indah ini terletak di utara untuk Karaton. Beberapa meter ke arah timur terdapat Gereja Agama Katholik tua yang terletak di Jl. Secodiningratan (Sekarang Jln P Senopati).

Baron. Pantai ini terletak di Kabupaten Gunungkidul, berjarak sekitar 60 km arah selatan dari kota Yogyakarta. Pantai Baron merupakan muara dari aliran sungai di bawah batu karang. Pantai ini sebenarnya merupakan teluk yang diapit oleh dinding-dinding perbukitan pohon kelapa.

Kukup. Ombaknya tergolong agak besar. Sebagai rangkaian alam perpantaian dari pantai Baron, gambaran tentang Pantai Kukup tidak jauh berbeda. Pantai ini berjarak sekitar 1 km dari Pantai Baron. Ciri khas dari obyek Pantai Kukup adalah pada koleksi ikan hiasnya. Pengunjung dapat sekedar melihat atau bahkan membelinya. Ciri lain menonjolkan yang eksotisme pantai ini adalah warna pasir pantainya yang putih kekuning-kuningan.

Candi Banyu Nibo Banyunibo mempunyai arti "air menetes" yang merupakan candi peninggalan agama Budha abad IX. Candi ini juga disebut "Si Sebatang Kara Banyu Nibo" karena letaknya yang terpencil ditengah persawahan dan rumpun pisang terpisah dari kelompok candi-candi yang lain. Candi ini dapat dicapai dengan kendaraan umum dari simpang tiga jalan raya Yogya-Solo yang menuju ke Piyungan sepanjang 2 kilometer atau 1 kilometer dari mulut jalan setapak yang menuju ke Petilasan Keraton Ratu Boko hingga tiba di komplek SKSD Palapa DIY. Selanjuynya perjalanan dengan jalan kaki menyusuri persawahan kearah timur (kiri), kurang lebih 1 kilometer.
Kerajinan Batik Batik acap kali digunakan sebagai simbol warisan turun temurun dari leluhur kita. Proses pembuatan Batik dapat dilihat di beberapa Galeri Batik di sebelah selatan Kota Jogjakarta yang sudah turun temurun.
Museum Biologi Terletak di jalan Sultan Agung Nomor : 22 Yogyakarta merupakan sarana pendidikan tentang satwa ( fauna ) dalam alam tumbuhan ( flora ) Indonesia . Dalam museum ini dapat disaksikan berbagai macam herabrium kering dan basah, berbagai jenis binatang dan kerangkanya. Sebagian diantaranya diperagakan dalam bentuk diorama, yang memperlihatkan kehidupan binatang dan tumbuh-tumbuhan tersebut, menyerupai keadaan dialam aslinya. Museum ini terbuka pada setiap hari : Selasa s/d Kamis pukul 08.00 - 13.00, Jum;at dari pukul 08.00 - 11.00, Sabtu dari pukul 08.00 - 12.30, dan Minggu pukul 08.00 - 12,00.

Bird Market (Pasar Burung Ngasem) tepatnya di wilayah Kecamatan Kraton, dan hanya berjarak sekitar 200 m dari gerbang Kraton Yogyakarta serta berhimpitan dengan Tamansari, terdapat sebuah pasar yang dikenal sebagai 'pasar burung", meskipun sebenarnya merupakan pasar umum, sebab tidak hanya jenis binatang dan burung saja yang ada di pasar tersebut. Pasar tersebut dikenal dengan nama Pasar Ngasem.
Borobudur merupakan Candi Budha terbesar di dunia yang merupakan salah satu dari tujuh keajaiban dunia. Terletak disebelah Barat Laut kota Yogyakarta, sejauh lebih kurang 42 km. Dibangun pada abad ke 8, dengan kerja keras dan keringat yang membasahi dibawah sengatan terik matahari daerah tropis, ditunjang ketekunan para pekerja dan dedikasi yang tinggi dari kerabat dan rakyat wangsa Cailendra yang berkuasa pada saat itu. Candi itu benar-benar menampilkan kebesaran kerajaan Cailendra, yang berusaha menggambarkan riwayat hidup Sidharta Gautama dan menjelaskan ajaran-ajarannya melalui relief-relief yang terukiir indah pada dinding candi.
Museum Sonobudoyo merupakan meseum budaya yang lengkap setelah Museum Pusat Jakarta. Terletak di sisi barat laut alun-alun utara Yogyakarta. Museum yang juga merupakan sarana pendidikan, khususnya dalam bidang seni-budaya dana kepurbakalaan, museum ini juga memiliki perpustakaan yang cukup memadai terutama buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan masalah kebudayaan juga menyimpan warisan budaya rokhani yang tiada bernilai tingginya, dapat dikunjungi setiap hari antara pukul 08.00 - 13.00 WIB.
Cerme Gua Di balik ketenaran objek wisata Pantai Parangtritis dan makam raja Mataram (Imogiri), Kabupaten Bantul ternyata masih memiliki satu lagi objek wisata yang tidak kalah menariknya. Wisata alam Goa Cerme, objek wisata yang tersembunyi di Dusun Srunggo, Imogiri.Untuk menyusuri seluruh relung Gua Cerme yang memiliki lorong sepanjang 1.200 meter itu, diperlukan waktu sekitar 2 jam lebih. Sepanjang jalan yang dilalui, memiliki alur yang berkelok-kelok, dihiasi stalagtit dan stalagmit yang berlekuk-lekuk
Gereja Kotabaru terletak 2Km di sebelah barat Stasiun Tugu / malioboro. Merupakan gereja tua peninggalan zaman kolonial. Terkenal dengan nama Gereja Katolik St Antonius.
Dewantara Kirti Griya Museum yang berlokasi di JalanTaman Siswa No 31 Yogyakarta dulu merupakan kediaman keluarga Ki Hajan Dewantara. Museum ini merupakan museum memorial milik Yayasan Persatuan Perguruan Taman Siswa. Museum yang terletak dijantung kota Yogyakarta dengan luas bangunan 300 meter persegi dan luas tanah 2700 meter persegi bisa setiap saat dikunjungi wisatawan dengan kendaraan umum, bis kota , becak, maupun andong. Koleksi Museum Dewantara Kirti Griya berupa kumpulan surat - surat Ki Hajar Dewantara yang berjumlah 876 pucuk, perlengkapan rumah tangga, dokumentasi, foto - foto dan satu unit film dengan judul Ki Hajar Dewantara Pahlawan Nasional. Berkat kemajuan tehnologi film dapat disajikan kepada para pengunjung sehingga suara Ki Hajar Dewantara yang sedang berdialog dapat dinikmati dalam ruangan khusus.

Dieng Plateau Negeri yang dijuluki "Negeri Dewa" itu menyimpan sejuta keindahan lengkap dengan legendanya. Kalau Bumi Parahyangan memiliki Kawah Tangkuban Perahu, maka Dieng memiliki Kawah Sikidang. Keindahan dijamin tak kalah dengan kawah milik Sangkuriang tersebut.Keunikan obyek wisata Dieng, bukan hanya kesejukan alam, tetapi ada candi-candi kecil yang berusia belasan abad serta telaga dan kawah yang memiliki nilai magis dan ilmiah tersendiri. Itu akan sangat menarik minat para turis, ilmuwan dan penulis, untuk berwisata ke sana.

Dirgantara Mandala Museum terletak di kompleks Lanuma Adisucipto. Di dalam Museum ini terdapat foto tokoh AURI, panji-panji/pataka kapal terbang yang digunakan Angkatan Udara Indonesia dari tahun 1945 sampai sekarang, dan benda-benda sejarah yang ada hubungannya dengan perjuangan AURI. Untuk berkunjung ke Museum ini, pada saat kedatangannya pimpinan rombongan/pengunjung perlu lapor di pos perjagaan. Museum ini dibuka tiap hari : Senin s/d Kamis jam 08.00 - 13.30, Jum'at jam 08.00 s/d 11.00 dan hari Sabtu jam 08.00 s/d 12.00.

Vredeburg Dipusat kota, didepan Gedung Agung (bekas istana Presiden RI di jaman Yogyakarta menjadi ibukota Negara tahun 1946),dibelakang Monumen Serangan Umum 1 Maret terletak sebuah benteng kuno, Vredeburg. Benteng ini sengaja didirikan oleh penjajah Belanda untuk mengamankan pemerintahannya dengan seorang Gubernur Hindia Belanda yang bertempat tinggal di Gedung Gubernuran (Gedung Agung sekarang).

Glagah Pantai Glagah yang terletak 40 km dari kota Yogyakarta termasuk wilayah Kabupaten Kulonprogo . Di kawasan pantai ini telah dibangun berbagai sarana dan fasilitas antara lain kolam pemancingan, taman rekreasi, camping ground dan gardu pandang.Bagi pengunjung yang mempunyai hoby olah raga dayung bisa menyalurkan bakatnya /hobynya di pantai ini dengan menggunakan perahu Kano.

Universitas Gajah Mada salah satu kampus terbesar dan tertua di Indonesia. Berdiri sejak tahun 1949 dan memiliki fasilitas terlengkap hingga saat ini.

Gedung Agung Istana Yogyakarta yang dikenal dengan nama Gedung Agung terletak di pusat keramaian kota, tepatnya di ujung selatan Jalan Akhmad Yani dahulu dikenal Jalan Malioboro, jantung ibu kota Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Kawasan istana terletak di Kelurahan Ngupasan, Kecamatan Gondomanan, Kotamadya Yogyakarta, dan berada pada ketinggian 120 meter dari permukaan laut. Kompleks istana ini menempati lahan seluas 43,585 m2.

Gembira Loka is relatively a small zoo located on the bank of river Gajah Wong, 3 km east of main Post Office. It has interesting collection of animals, local and foreign. In the compound, there are recreational facilities such as a pond for boating and a children's playground. During school holidays, gamelan and musical entertainment are performed in the grounds.

Imogiri sebenarnya Makam Hastanegara, dan merupakan makam yang lebih muda usianya dibandingkan dengan makam kotagede. Di Makam Imogiri ini, dimakamkan Raja-raja yang memerintah Kerajaan Mataram sepeninggalan Panembahan Senopati, terutama Putra Sultan Agung Hanyokro Kusumo. Makam ini dibangun diatas bukit, dan untuk mencapainya kita harus mendaki tangga dari batu berundak sebanyak 345 buah hingga tiba disuatu persimpangan jalan. Ziarah ke Makam Imogiri dapat dilakukan setiap hari Senin antara pukul 10.00 hingga 13.00 atau haru minggu antara pukul 13.30 hingga 16.30 WIB


Jagadnata Pura Hindu (pura),pura terbesar di Yogyakarta.terletak di Jl Sorowajan

Jalan Malioboro merupakan salah satu pusat perbelanjaan di Jogja. Keramaian dan semaraknya Malioboro tidak terlepas dari banyaknya pedagang kaki lima yang berjajar sepanjang jalan Malioboro menjajakan dagangannya, hampir semuanya yang ditawarkan adalah barang/benda khas Jogja sebagai souvenir/oleh-oleh bagi para wisatawan. Mereka berdagang kerajinan rakyat khas Jogjakarta, antara lain kerajinan ayaman rotan, kulit, batik, perak, bambu dan lainnya, dalam bentuk pakaian batik, tas kulit, sepatu kulit, hiasan rotan, wayang kulit, gantungan kunci bambu, sendok/garpu perak, blangkon batik [semacan topi khas Jogja/Jawa], kaos dengan berbagai model/tulisan dan masih banyak yang lainnya. Para pedagang kaki lima ini ada yang menggelar dagangannya diatas meja, gerobak adapula yang hanya menggelar plastik di lantai. Sehingga saat pengunjung Malioboro cukup ramai saja antar pengunjung akan saling berdesakan karena sempitnya jalan bagi para pejalan kaki karena cukup padat dan banyaknya pedagang di sisi kanan dan kiri.

Museum Sasmitaloka Untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai perjuangan dalam memerdekakan dan mempertahankan kemerdekaan dari penjajahan maka perlu sekali kalau kita berkunjung ke Museum Sasmitaloka Panglima Besar Jenderal Sudirman yang di Jalan Bintaran No. 3 Yogyakarta. Dari dalam gedung Sasmitaloka inilah pengunjung diajak menyaksikan sebagian dari sejarah perjuangan panjang bangsa Indonesia mencapai kemerdekaannya, diantaranya melalui perang terbuka maupun dengan gerilya yang dilakukan oleh putera-puteri terbaik di negeri ini dan salah satunya dipimpin oleh Kolonel Sudirman Komandan Divisi V Purwokerto saat itu.

Kalasan Temple terletak hanya 50 meter di tepi sebelah Selatan dari Jalan Raya Yogya-Solo ,Kilometer 14 dan lebih kurang 600 meter di sebelah Barat Daya Candi Sari. Candi Kalasan merupakan peninggalan Budha yang tertua di daerah Yogyakarta dan Jawa Tengah yang dibangun pada Tahun 778 Masehi sebagai persembahan kepada Dewi Tara Candi Kalasan ini bercorak Budha namun pendirinya adalah Rakai Panangkaran dari Wanca Sanjaya yang menganut agama Hindu, atas bujukan Guru-Gurunya dari Wanca Syailendra yang menganut Agama Budha . Candi Kalasan juga terkenal sebagai candi yang Indah Hiasannya dan sangat halus pahatan batunya. Selain itu ornamen dan relief pada dinding luarnya dilapisi sejenis semen kuno yang disebut Vajralepa

Karaton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat merupakan sumber pancaran seni budaya Jawa yang dapat di saksikan melalui keindahan arsitektur dengan ornamen-ornamennya yang sangat mempesona. Setiap hari, Kraton terbuka kunjungan wisatawan mulai pukul 7.30 hingga pukul 13.00, kecuali pada hari Juma't Kraton hanya buka sampai dengan pukul 12.00 WIB.

Desa Kasongan terletak di Barat daya Yogyakarta. Terkenal sebagai desa pengrajin tembikar.

Kepatihan Danurejan dulunya adalah rumah tinggal bagi Patih. Patih di kerajaan Yogyakarta selalu mendapat gelar DANUREJO. Sehingga tempat tinggal para patih disebut Danurejan.

Kota Gede Kotagede atau Kota Gede kadang-kadang disebut sebagai Kota Ibukota Lama, karena dulu tempat ini merupakan ibukota Kerajaan Islam Mataram yang pertama. Sebelumnya, tempat ini hanyalah hutan yang disebut Alas Mentaok, yang diberikan kepada Panembahan Senopati oleh Sultan Pajang, raja Kerajaan Hindu di Jawa Timur, karena Senopati telah membantu menyelamatkan Pajang. Pada tahun 1575, Panembahan Senopati, yang menjadi raja Mataram Islam yang pertama, membangun kawasan ini dan menetapkannya sebagai kota ibukota.

Kota Gede Makam Raja Di setiap daerah pastilah mudah ditemukan makam, demikian pula di Yogya. Bahkan di Yogya, selain mudah ditemukan makam umum, dikenal pula makam raja-raja Mataram, yang dikenal dengan nama Imogiri. Selain di Imogiri, ada pula makam Kotagede. Di makam ini pendiri Mataram, Panembahan Senapati di makamkan.

Kiskendo Taman wisata ini terletak 35 kilometer di sebelah Barat kota Yogyakarta, di peghunungan Menboreh. Taman Wisata ini terdiri dari Goa Kiskendo, Goa Sumitro dan Watu Blencong . Merupakan goa alam di pegunungan Menoreh yang terletak 1200 m di atas permukaan laut yang berhawa sejuk, dari bentuk serta keadaannya sangat serupa dengan apa yang yang tersirat dalam legenda dalam legenda Istana Goa Kiskendo (yang merupakan fragmen dari cerita Ramayana ), tempat tinggal Raksasa Mahesasura yang berkepala kerbau dan Lembusura yang berkepala sapi.Dalam kisah pewayangan, di tempat ini terjadi pertempuran antara Subali Sugriwa dengan Mahesasura dan patih Lembusura yang menghuni goa ini.Di samping itu keadaan-keadaan geologis dari goa-goa yang ada di daerah berbatu kapur,Di dalam goa Kiskendo ini terdapat banyak stalaktit dan stalagmit yang aneh namun indah bentuknya.Di dalam goa ini mengalir sungai di bawah tanah yang dalam cerita pewayangan, dan dalam pertempuran antara Subali ; Sugriwa dan Mahesasura ; Lembusura, mengalirkan air berwarna merah dan putih.

Krakal Meskipun masih satu mata rantai dari kunjungan ke Pantai Baron dan Pantai Kukup, nuansa perjalanan menuju lokasi Pantai Krakal sedikit berbeda. Bahkan boleh dikatakan, Pantai Krakal memberikan gambaran seutuhnya tentang panorama pantai. Disepanjang perjalanan menuju lokasi pantai ini, terlihat keindahan pemandangan bukit-bukit kapur diselingi dengan teras-teras batu karang. Paduan bebatuan seperti ini dikenal dengan nama daerah karst, yakni bekas dasar laut yang mengalami proses pengangkatan kerak bumi sehingga menjulang ke atas membentuk sebuah dataran tinggi. Batu-batu karang ini dulunya adalah bekas sarang/rumah binatang karang yang hidup pada saat itu. Pantai Krakal relatif landai. Hal ini memungkinkan sinar mentari menghidupkan cakrawala perpantaian, dan angin laut berhembus dengan sejuk. Pasir putih terhampar cukup panjang di tepian pantai, yakni sekitar 5 km, seolah selalu putih bersih dibasuk oleh deburan ombak yang cukup besar.

Gua Langse yang terletak di kaki tebing Parangtritis merupakan tempat tetirah yang terkenal, meskipun di sekitarnya juga banyak kawasan serupa, seperti Gua Tapan, Sendang Beji, maupun Gua Siluman. Dalam buku-buku tulisannya, Dr. Hermanus Johannes de Graaf, ilmuwan Belanda yang mengkhususkan diri dalam pengkajian tanah Jawa, menyebut Gua Langse sebagai Gua Kanjeng Ratu Kidul. Oleh sebab itu, gua ini merupakan tempat yang sering dikunjungi oleh reraja Mataram. Di gua ini konon pernah bersemedi pula Syekh Siti Jenar maupun Sunan Kalijaga. Dari pantai Parangtritis untuk menuju Gua Langse masih harus berjalan sekitar 3 km ke arah timur. Jangan kaget atau merasa ngeri ketika Anda sudah berada di bibir tebing. Dengan ketinggian tebing 400 m dan nyaris tegak lurus, perjalanan menuju Gua Langse menjadi tantangan tersendiri. Jalan menuju ke kaki tebing tempat Gua Langse berada berupa campuran antara tangga (ada 4 buah pada tempat yang terpisah), akar, dan tonjolan bebatuan. Sesampainya di gua, pengunjung bisa mandi di salah satu bilik. Air yang dipakai mandi berasal dari mata air yang keluar dari dalam gua. Airnya yang dingin dan tawar serta mengandung kadar kapur tinggi bisa menghilangkan kelelahan akibat perjalanan menuju gua. Selesai mandi, barulah pengunjung dipersilakan untuk bersemedi. Kesunyian di dalam gua sangat membantu untuk memusatkan pikiran. Suara yang terdengar hanyalah debur ombak pantai selatan.

Masjid Agung Terletak di sebelah Barat Alun-alun Utara Yogyakarta yang hingga kini masihdipergunakan untuk tempat beribadah sehari-hari bagi umat Islam. Di hari-hari besar Islam ,masjid ini dipergunakan sebagai tempat penyelenggaraan upacara-upacara resmi keagamaan Islam dari Kraton Yogyakarta.Masjid Agung Yogyakarta memiliki gaya bangunan jawa yang spesifik, utamanya dalam bentuk atapnya yang disamping unik juga indah menyerupai masjid Agung Kadilangu yang dibangun oleh Sunan Kalijaga (salah seorang wali sango di kota antik Demak)Di sayap Timur bagian depan dari Istana ini dipergunakan sebagai Museum Puro Pakualaman dengan mempergunakan 4 buah ruangan, yang dapat dikunjungi masyarakat setiap hari Senin dan Kamis antara pukul 11.00 hingga 13.00. Dalam Museum ini tersimpan benda-benda bersejarah yang memiliki nilai Budaya tinggi, dan merupakan tinggalan masa silam dari keluarga Paku Alam.

Masjid Syuhada Salah satu Masjid besar di Jogjakarta yang bersejarah. Terletak di Kotabaru - Jogjakarta.

Candi Mendut candi yang terletak kurang lebih 3 km sebelum candi borobudur dari arah jogyakarta, candi ini memiliki atap yang berbentuk limas dan didalamnya terdapat patung budha yag diapit oleh dua arca.

Monument 1 Maret ini terletak di sebelah selatang benteng Vredeburg berdiri dengan tegar, mengingatkan kita pada peristiwa nasional yang tersebar dalam sejarah berdirinya RI. Peristiwa ini pada tanggal 1 Maret 1949, tatkala Letnan Kolonel Soeharto (sekarang Presiden RI) memimpin Serangan Umum ke kota Yogyakarta yang saat itu berada dalam penguasaan bala tentara penjajah Belanda. Serangan itu berhasil dengan gemilang dan Tentara Nasional Indonesia telah berhasil menguasai kota Yogya selama 6 jam yang membawa hasil penyerahan Kedaulatan Rakyat dari pihak pemerintah Belanda kepada RI.

Museum Sasono Wiratama Museum ini sering disebut sebagai munumen Diponegoro karena merupakan bekas rumah kediaman Pangeran Diponegoro seorang bangsawan Kraton Yogyakarta yang terkenal sebagai patriot dalam melawan penjajah Belanda antara tahun 1825-1830. Kini di dalam bangunan-bangunan ini yang telah dipugar, tersimpan berbagai peninggalan yang berupa peralatan perang dan peralatan lain yang pernah dipergunakan beliau dan para pengikutnya yang setia. Museum ini terletak di daerah Tegalrejo, lebih kurang 4 Km dari pusat kota Yogyakarta. Museum Sasana Wiratama terbuka untuk kunjungan masyarakat umum, setiap hari kerja antara senin sampai sabtu pukul 08.00 – 13.00.

Museum Perjuangan Museum berdiri atas inisiatif panitia peringatan :Setengah abad Kebangkitan Nasional Propinsi DIY" pada Tahun 1958 yang dimaksudkan untuk mengenang sejarah Perjuangan Bangsa Indonesia Pembangunan dimulai dengan peletakan batu pertama oleh Sri Paku Alam VIII , pada tgl 17 Agustus 1959 dan Pembanguynan itu selesai paDA TGL 29 jUNI 1961 dengan peletakan batu terakhir, peresmian sekaligus pembukaan Museum oleh Sri Paku Alam VIII . Mula-mula Museum dikelola oleh Panitia " Setengah Abad Kebangkitan Nasional DIY " ( 1961-1963 ) .Selanjutnya pada Tahun 1963 sampai dengan 1969 Panitia mengalami kesulitan dalam mencari dana sehingga Museum tidak dibuka oleh Umum. Pada Tahun 1970 -1974 Museum masih ditutup dan berada dibawah Pemda Propinsi DIY c.q. Inspeksi Kebudayaan Dinas P &K Propinsi DIY . Pada Tahun 1974-1980 Museum masih ditutup,namun pengelolaan Museum dilimpahkan ke Kanwil Depdikbud Propinsi DIY . Dan ,baru pada Tahun 1980-1997 Museum itu disatukan dengan Museum Negeri Sonobudoyo, dan dibuka untuk umum. Pada tgl 5 September 1997 Museum Perjuangan disatukan dengan Museum yang seaspek ( Museum Sejarah ) yaitu Museum Benteng Yogyakarta dan menjadi Museum Benteng Yogyakarta Unit II

Museum (Gallery) Affandi terletak di sisi sebelah Utara dari jalan Solo No. 167, tepatnya di lereng sebelah Barat jembatan sungai Gajahwong, kompleks museum yang menepati tahah seluas 3500 m2 terdiri dari bangunan museum dan bangunan rumah yang dahulu merupakan rumah tinggal pelukis Affandi beserta keluarganya. Affandi telah banyak menerima penghargaan dari negara-negara di Asia dan Eropa, disamping gelar Doctor Honoris Causa yang diterimanya dari Universitas Singapore. Koleksi lukisan Affandi yang tersimpan di museum berjumlah 300 buah yang secara berkala dipamerkan di museumnya.

Merapi Gunung Merapi mempunyai ketinggian 2968 m dari permukaan laut dan terletak lebih kurang 25 km dari Yogyakarta. Gunung Merapi terbentuk pertama kali sekitar 60.000-80.000 tahun yang lalu. Namun sejarah aktivitasnya baru mulai diamati dan ditulis sebagai dokumen sejak tahun 1791. Puncak Merpai menjajikan daya pikat untuk menikmati keindahan matahari terbit pada pagi hari dengan pemandangan alami dari jajaran Gunung Ungaran, Telomoyo dan Merbabu. Gung Merapi dan sekitarnya menawarkan wisata gunung api seperti udara yang sejuk, lintas alam, keindahan kubah lava yang masih aktif.

Pasar Beringharjo Pasar Beringharjo didirikan oleh Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwana I. Pasar ini terletak di sebelah utara kompleks keraton. Nama Pasar Beringharjo diambilkan dari nama hutan Beringan, yakni hutan yang merupakan cikal bakal kota Yogyakarta. Di dalam hutan tersebut terdapat pedukuhan yang bernama Pacetokan yang merupakan tempat berdirinya Keraton Yogyakarta sekarang

Pantai Parangkusumo, Menurut legenda, tempat ini merupakan medan pertemuan para raja Kerajaan Yogyakarta dengan Nyai Roro Kidul. Tempat pertemuan tersebut tepatnya terletak di sebuah batuan intrusi pada hamparan pasir perpantaian. Sehubungan dengan legenda tersebut, pantai ini dikenal amat sakral.

Parangtritis. Pantai Parangtritis terletak sekitar 27 km di sebelah selatan kota Yogyakarta. Lokasinya mudah dijangkau dengan berbagai alat transportasi. Disamping itu, di kawasan ini cukup banyak tersedia fasilitas penginapan dan rumah makan, kolam renang, pemandian dan bumi perkemahan. Untuk mencapai lokasi wisata ini, terdapat dua jalur yang dapat digunakan. Jalur pertama relatif lebih pendek, takni 27 km dari Yogyakarta, Kraton Yogyakarta-Desa Kretek-Pantai Parangtritis. Apabila perjalanan dilakukan pada pagi dan sore hari, pada rute ini akan selalu ditemui ‘pasukan sepeda’ para buruh yang memberikan sebuah gambaran kerukunan dan kedamaian di antara mereka. Jallur kedua, meski berjarak tempuh 37 km, melewati rute jalan pemandangan pegunungan yang menarik. Rute jalur ini adalah : Terminal Umbulharjo-Daerah Imogiri-Desa Siluk-Pantai Parangtritis.

Pawon. Bangunan suci budha yang disebut dalam prasasti karang tengah 824 m didukung letaknya yang segaris dengan candi mendut dan candi borobudur.terletak di desa brajanalan kec. borobudur.

Plaosan (Candi Budha) Candi Plaosan terletak kira-kira 1 km ke arah timur dari candi Sewu. Candi Budha ini terdiri atas dua candi utama yang terletak berdampingan, masing-masing mempunyai landasan dasar sendiri. Relief ukiran yang terletak di bagian selatan candi menggambarkan tentang laki-laki dan candi yang lain menggambarkan tentang wanita. Keistimewaan lain dari candi ini adalah candi Perwata yang meniru bentuk stupa.

Prambanan Candi Prambanan terletak kurang lebih 17 kilometer ke arah Yogya Solo (perempatan Janti ke Timur). Tiap orang pasti akan melihat candi ini karena letaknya yang hanya 100 meter dari jalan utama. Di waktu malam Candi ini akan lebih indah karena diSorot oleh sinar lampu berkekuatan tinggi.Candi Hindu yang tingginya 47 meter ini dibangun oleh Dinasti Sanjaya di abad 9.Candi ini terdiri atas 3 kompleks. Candi utama terletak di bagian dalam kompleks dan dikelilingi oleh candi-candi kecil yang disebut candi PERWARA. Beberapa dari candi-candi ini merupakan kontribusi dari pemimpin daerah sebagai upeti kepada Raja.

Puro Pakualaman (1813), berlokasi di Jln Sultan. Merupakan kerajaan kecil di dalam wilayah Kerajaan Ngayogyokarto Hadiningrat.

Ratu Boko (Candi Hindu) Situs Ratu Boko berada di atas bukit pada ketinggian 195,97 meter dpl dengan luas sekitar 250.000 meter persegi. Dari sini Anda seperti melihat lukisan naturalis yang indah; Gunung Merapi yang selalu mengeluarkan asap membelakangi kemegahan Candi Prambanan dan Candi Sewu. Pemandangan alam yang indah juga tampak begitu Anda mengeserkan kepala ke arah selatan. Panorama perbukitan penuh dengan warna bangunan candi; Candi Banyunibo, Candi Barong, Candi Ijo, dan sebagainya. Benar-benar seperti lukisan!

Samas Pantai Samas ini dikenal memiliki ombak yang besar dan terdapat delta-delta sungai dan danau air tawar yang membentuk telaga. Telaga-telaga tersebut digunakan untuk pengembangan perikanan, penyu, dan udang galah serta berbagai lokasi pemancingan. Disebelah Barat terdapat Pantai Patehan dengan panorama yang indah Lokasi : di Desa Srigading, Kec. Sanden kurang lebih 24 Km dari yogyakarta ke arah Selatan. Atraksi/Event Wisata : Upacara Kirab Tumuruning Maheso Suro, Labuhan Sedekah Laut, Pentas Seni Budaya ( liburan dan lebaran ).Fasilitas Terminal. Tempat Parkir, MCK, Penginapan, Rumah Makan, SAR, Jaringan Listrik, Mushola dan Sarana Transportasi.

Sari. Candi Budha ini terletak sekitar 600 meter kearah timur laut dari candi Kalasan, di sisi sebelah utara dari jalan utama antara Yogyakarta dan Solo. Candi yang kecil dan indah ini terdiri atas dua lantai. Lantai atas dulunya digunakan untuk menyimpan barang-barang untuk kepentingan keagamaan. Candi ini dulunya juga merupakan Vihara, tempat dimana biksu beribadah, bermeditasi, dan mengajar para pengikutnya. Tembok candi ini juga dilapisi oleh Vajralepa.

Sambisari Candi ini terletak sekitar 12 km ke arah timur dari kota Yogyakarta di sebelah utara dari jalan utama antara Yogyakarta dan Solo. Candi Sambisari adalah candi yang sangat unik, candi ini terletak 6,5 meter di bawah permukaan tanah. Candi ini dibangun pada abad ke-10. Karena letusan Gunung Merapi di tahun 1006, daerah di sekitar ini tertutup oleh bahan-bahan yang berasal dari gunung berapi.

Gua Selarong Kawasan objek wisata ini memiliki pemandangan alam yang indah serta cocok untuk digunakan sebagai Bumi Perkemahan (Camping Ground). Di masa lampau gua ini digunakan sebagai markas gerilya Pangeran Diponegoro dalam perjuangannya melawan penjajahan Belanda pada tahun 1825–1830.Pangeran Diponegoro pindah ke Gua Selarong setelah rumahnya di Tegalrejo diserang dan dibakar habis oleh Belanda.Gua Selarong berlokasi sekitar 14 km arah utara Yogyakarta tepatnya di kecamatan Pajangan dan berada di puncak bukit yang ditumbuhi banyak pohon jambu biji yang merupakan khas dari objek tersebut.

Candi Sewu Candi Sewu terletak hanya beberapa ratus meter ke arah timur laut dari Candi Prambanan. dengan lingkungan yang sejuk Anda dapat menikmati Candi Budha yang besar dan luas. meliputi beberapa candi kecil, seperti: candi Lumbung, candi Asu, candi Bubrah, dan candi Lor Kulon.

Sendangsono Merupakan tempat ziarah bagi pemeluk agama Roma Katholik, tempat ini dibangun menyerupai Loudes di Perancis, dimana pada masa yang silam, Bunda Maria, ibunda Nabi Isa Al Masih telah menampakkan diri dihadapan seorang gadis Santa Bernadeta, dan melakukan berbagai mukjijat kepada masyarakat setempat. Nama Sendangsono diambil dari istilah "sendang" yang berarti mata air dan "sono", merupakan nama suatu jenis pohon. Sedangkan sendangsono berarti mata air di bawah pohon sono. Pada bulan Mei dan Oktober, tempat ini ramai sekali dipenuhi peziarah dari seluruh Indonesia.


Seni Sono Art Center Di Yogya ada satu gedung kesenian yang dikenal dengan nama Seni Sono. Gedung ini terletak di jatung kota Yogyakarta. Bersebelahan dengan Istana Negara "Gedung Agung". Begitu strategisnya Seni Sono sehingga ada banyak aktivitas kesenian dan kebudayaan dilakukan di tempat ini. Apalagi tahun 1970-an sampai akhir 1980-an tidak banyak gedung kesenian, sehingga Seni Sono menjadi pilihan utama. Di gedung Seni Sono rupa-rupa kegiatan kesenian dan kebudayaan dilakukan. Ada pentas teater, pameran lukisan, diskusi, bazaar dan seterusnya. Pendeknya, Seni Sono yang berada di jalur kawasan Malioboro sangat strategis untuk menghadirkan publik.

Taman Sari Terletak lebih kurang 400 meter dari Komplek Kraton Yogyakarta atau lebih kurang 10 menit berjalan kaki dari halaman dalam belakang Kraton yang disebut Kemandungan Kidul atau halaman Magangan.Taman Sari berarti taman yang indah, pada zaman dahulu merupakan tempat rekreasi Sri Sultan beserta kerabat Istana.

Telogo Muncar air terjun di kawasan Tlogo Putri - Kaliurang. Di lereng Gunung Merapi

Tugu Yogya adalah salah satu bangunan peninggalan Sultan Hamengku Buwana I. Pembangunan Tugu tersebut dilakukan untuk memperingati rasa kebersamaan raja (pada waktu itu Pangeran Mangkubumui) dengan rakyat yang bersatu padu melawan Belanda sehingga Pangeran Mangkubumi mendapatkan tanah Mataram. Tugu tersebut dibangun setahun setelah Perjanjian Gianti. Ketinggian Tugu pada waktu dibangun pertama kali adalah 25 meter.

Monumen Yogya Kembali didirikan untuk mengenang peristiwa bersejarah yaitu bebasnya Yogyakarta dari Pendudukan Belanda tahun 1949. Monumen ini terletak di Sariharjo, Ngaglik Sleman kira-kira 7 km dari Tugu Yogyakarta. Monumen ini berbentuk kerucut menpunyai gunung dan terdiri dari tiga lantai. Lantai dasar punya pintu lurus dari barat ke timur sesuai dengan rotasi bumi. Pada lantai ini terdapat bermacam-macam display dan cerita lengkap mengenai peristiwa menjelang "Yogya Kembali". Lantai kedua punya pintu lurus dari utara ke selatan, terjalin dengan garis fisalfat bangunan kraton Yogyakarta. Lantai ini berisi cerita-cerita perjuangan yang dimulai dari saat Yogyakarta menjadi ibukota RI sampai peristiwa Yogya kembali. Lantai ketiga berada pada bagian paling atas, pada lantai ini tidak memiliki pintu para pengunjung bisa masuk ke ruangan ini melalui bagian bawah. Lantai ini punya satu ruang yang disebut "Gerba Graha" yang berarti ruang bersemedi
